This has always been such a nice holiday and this year is was great. We had all of our family here Saturday and Sunday. So it was fun of fun and noise! The eats were good, there was golf, visiting, kids and babies. Oh yeah-did I say kids and babies?! When Amanda and Nate were visiting with us this morning before they went home they commented on how they hadn't seen much of their kids. They loved the backyard and cousins and didn't have much time for mom and dad. Barry and David decided it waould be fun leaving the kids with us while all of the siblings went out to eat. Do you see something wrong with their decision? Anyway-we had the most fun. I sat outside watching the kids play and marveled at their imaginations-that would be Lilly, Luci, and Noah for the most part and how they got all the little ones to play along. When the four little ones got tired of playing with that they would play chase each other, the sandbox, swing, ball, etc. With Lilly's help they had a fun picnic under the apple tree and they all had seconds and some of them more. Luci had found that if she bounces on the swing she can make the apples fall down. Eloise sometimes would be singing on her tummy on the swing all her little reprotoire of songs in her sweet voice. Owen loved to be chased by Noah or Taylor he continually had his grin on his face running. Taylor would take a rest on the big swing by Lilly or grandpa. Andrew loved the sandbox the best and played in it with Luci for most of the night. Noah went from one cousin to the next playing with them all. Lilly did the same until she was ready for a rest and the tv. The didn't fight, but they sure had a lot of laughs and giggles. I could picture many more picnics and cousin play times in our backyard. I also felt great g&g's happiness at what was taking place in their home.
Of course I also enjoyed our three baby girls. Seeing how much they changed and have grown. Soon the will be joining in the play fun. They certainly added their noise to the bunch. I love having my children (spouses you know you are counted as my children when I make that reference) and my grandkids here. Thanks for loving each other in spite of differences and for loving me even though I snore. You all do too-So there.
Enjoy the pictures of our Labor Day Weekend. Cousins are fun. As Noah said to his mom when he was watching the rest all leave Saturda night "I sure love them mom".
Love You To The Moon and Back! Mom
PS Earlier the kids had told me the apples were delicious from the apple tree. I didn't think too much of their comments because they were playing a huge game of make believe. When they all helped me pick up apples I saw many bite marks in the apples with one bite eaten out of many of them. No one complained of tummy aches.
