A Nice Weekend

We had a nice weekend in SLC. We arrived in the afternoon, the roads were a little bit awnry but we made it along with a stop at Maddox. Mother couldn't wait any longer for some chicken. We visited with Amanada, Nate and the children until dinner time, and eventually ended up at our "Red Lion, Priceline Room." Our first roon had obviously been smoked in so we moved to another. We didn't figure out until later that the heat was on full blast or nothing, so we didn't have the best of nights. The next was better. A little advice when we stay there again, request a roon on the south side towers, they are much quieter. Saturday we did a little shopping and then we ended up at "The Roof" We had seats right against the window, it was really nice. We both ate too much, Mother chastised me for eating 2 Creme Brulee's but she had five desserts. Then we went to the concert. It was sold out. We had really good seats on the first terrace. We attended part of the pre-concert lecture given by Keith Lockhart, the director. The music was very good. We had found a lucky parking place near Abravanel Hall so we were back to the Hotel quickly. Sunday morning we traveled back after a quick good bye to Amanda's family. We got back in time for me to teach High Priest Quorum. I wanted to be here because it was the first lesson in the new book. Then We had afternoon dinner at David's. Mother had a loooonnnggg Relief Society Presidency Meeting in the living room while Lilly and I wated TV.
SO anyway we had a really nice time utilizing our Christmas present. Thank You to all of the children who gave it to us.
